SKW Schwarz has advised the Swedish KAMIC Group on the acquisition of GST Gersprenztal Transformatoren GmbH, a specialist manufacturer of customized transformers, via its subsidiary ElektronikGruppen BK Aktiebolag. The sellers are the previous owners Gilbert Rohr and Uwe Kowarsch.
GST, based in Brensbach, Hesse, develops and manufactures various types of transformers, including low- and high-voltage transformers, isolating and autotransformers.
With the takeover, GST will become part of the Magnetics division of the KAMIC Group.
The KAMIC Group, headquartered in Spanga, Sweden, comprises around 40 companies that are active in both trading and manufacturing. The focus is on the manufacturing industry, but also on the electrical and construction sectors.
For the SKW Schwarz M&A team, this was already the third transaction for the KAMIC Group within a short period of time.
