BWD submits position paper on video technology to court

SKW Schwarz is involved in the Federal Association of Commercial Law Firms in Germany (Bundesverband der Wirtschaftskanzleien in Deutschland / BWD)

The BWD, through its task force "Fast and Efficient Justice", has prepared a position paper on the draft bill of the Federal Ministry of Justice to promote the use of video technology in the judiciary. SKW Schwarz partner Dr. Oliver Stöckel, who represents the firm on the task force together with Dr. Alexander Steinbrecher, also contributed to the paper, which was published on January 13, 2023.

SKW Schwarz has been a BWD member from the very beginning and is committed to representing the interests of commercial law firms in Germany in a variety of ways. The BWD was founded on March 29, 2022 and now unites 41 larger law firms that are committed to professional, strategic and future-oriented concerns of law firms in the German legal market.

In addition to the "Fast and Efficient Justice" task force, SKW Schwarz participates in other specialist groups. These include the task forces "Digital Transformation" (Stefan Schicker, Dr. Alexander Steinbrecher), "ESG" (Prof. Dr. Mathias Schwarz), "Legal Framework for Legal Tech Companies" (Stefan Schicker) and "GWG" (Heiko Wunderlich, Dr. Alexander Steinbrecher). Dr. Alexander Steinbrecher is also a member of the Association's Advisory Board.
