Gamevasion by Dreamhack and the GERMAN ESPORTS SUMMIT

As in previous years, Dreamhack returned to Hannover under the Gamevasion brand. The event at the Hannover Messe, organized by Freaks 4U Gaming GmbH, took place from December 5-8 and featured a variety of great booths and events. One of these events was the GERMAN ESPORTS SUMMIT (GES) of the eSport-Bund Deutschland (ESBD).

One of the speakers at the GES was our expert Dr. Nepomuk Nothelfer, who gave a keynote speech on Saturday, December 7, 2024, on the topic “E-Sport-Definition reloaded - Background and Methodology for the New Federation Definition”Held. The topic resulted from the revision of the current federation definition, which the ESBD had initiated in cooperation with its scientific advisory board, of which Dr. Nothelfer is a member, in recent months. The ESBD general assembly will vote on the proposed definition resulting from this process on December 13, 2024.
