On November 28, 2024, the new edition of the Games&Politics series, organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Esports Player Foundation, took place on the topic of “Olympia goes Esports”. The event took place at XPERION Berlin and was broadcast on the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's Twitch channel.
Background of the event was the announcement of the International Olympic Committee to host the Olympic Esports Games for at least the next 12 years. All implications of this decision were discussed by several experts on various panels. Our expert Dr. Nepomuk Nothelfer was also invited as a panelist and spoke on the following topics:
