On November 2, 2024, our esports legal experts Moritz Mehner and Dr. Nepomuk Nothelfer had the great pleasure of attending two exciting events in London at the invitation of Riot Games.
The business highlight of our visit was an invitation to a media brunch in anticipation of the new arbitration court, The DR. At the brunch, our experts learned all the details of the process for the newly established independent and voluntary arbitration court for Tier 1 and Tier 2 competitions in the Riot Games esports cosmos, weeks before the project was announced.
The sporting highlight was the opportunity to attend the final of the League of Legends Worlds 2024 at The O2, including a behind-the-scenes tour. There, our experts were able to experience an outstanding opening ceremony and one of the most exciting finals in the world's biggest esports title.
