Important information: Protection against phishing e-mails
Recently, we have received an increasing number of reports that our firm's name is being misused for phishing e-mails. These fraudulent emails are aimed at stealing personal information or access data. It is very important to us to protect and educate our clients. We have therefore compiled some important information on how you can protect yourself against such phishing attempts and how you can recognize genuine emails from us.
How can you recognize phishing emails?
- Check the sender address: Our official emails always come from our domain skwschwarz.de. Emails from general providers such as Gmail, Web.de are not from us.
- Unusual requests: We will never ask you for personal data, passwords or financial information by e-mail. Be suspicious if such information is requested.
- Incorrect language and spelling: Phishing e-mails often contain spelling mistakes or unprofessional language. Look out for such signs.
- Suspicious links and attachments: Do not click on links or open attachments in suspicious emails. Check links by hovering over them without clicking to see the actual URL.
What should you do if you receive a suspicious e-mail?
- Do not respond: Do not reply to the suspicious email and do not disclose any personal information.
- Flag and report: Mark the email as spam or phishing in your email program. Forward the suspicious e-mail to fake@skwschwarz.de so that we can investigate the incident.
How do we protect your security?
- Authentication methods: We use modern authentication methods such as SPF, DKIM and DMARC to ensure that our emails are authentic.
- Monitoring and protection: We continuously monitor our systems and work closely with email providers to combat fraudulent activity.
