SKW Schwarz has advised ORLEN Deutschland GmbH on the acquisition of 17 automatic filling stations from the Austrian mineral oil group OMV. By way of a share deal, ORLEN will acquire Avanti Deutschland GmbH, which belongs to the OMV Group.
The service stations are to be successively reflagged and operated under the new ORLEN express brand once the official approvals have been obtained to complete the transaction.
With this acquisition, ORLEN is continuing its strategic expansion in the south of Germany and, with its star and ORLEN brands, is expanding its service station network to over 600 stations nationwide.
ORLEN Deutschland GmbH, founded in 2003 and headquartered in Elmshorn, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Polish multi-energy group PKN ORLEN S.A. and part of the international ORLEN Group. ORLEN Deutschland is one of the ten largest service station operators in Germany and has been a partner of the German handball record champion THW Kiel since 2012, since 2016 as the sole main and jersey sponsor.
